The reality of Type 1 diabetes enters every aspect of our lives...take this interview this morning as a prime example.  What do you get when you mix a high blood sugar upon awakening + 4:30 am wake up and breakfast (totally off schedule) + little stress of LIVE TV? ? ? = High blood sugar climbing 180 points in a 20 minute time frame RIGHT AT SHOWTIME!  High blood sugar affects cognitive abilities and thinking slows down, as evidenced so vividly in this interview.  You hear Matt say that Carson's blood sugar has climbed higher.....he had been watching his CGM.  I am incredibly proud of Carson and Matt Rogers did such an amazing job...what a great friend of JDRF!  We need a cure!!!
