World Diabetes Day

Carson's school, Ramsey Magnet School of Science, helped us bring awareness of Type 1 diabetes to the entire student body of over 650 students in November.  All the students wore BLUE in honor of National Diabetes Day and Carson made an announcement on the intercom first thing in the morning with some stats of T1D and thanked the kids for wearing blue!  Every teacher in the school showed a JDRF video explaining T1D to their students and the teachers followed the video with classroom discussion.  Carson's teacher was wonderful in allowing us to have some fun with lots of JDRF blue! At least we know that 650 students and 150 staff members are more aware of what Type 1 diabetes is and the signs and symptoms and how to help a classmate!!!  GO CURE!!!
